Transporting dogs

For dogs on the bus, a reduced single ticket (child fare) must be purchased.
Dogs that are not housed in an animal crate or a special carrier for animal transport must be on a leash. If they are larger than a domestic cat, a muzzle is required.

Carriage is only permitted in accordance with the transport conditions and available capacities.

The fare regulations and conditions of carriage of the SH rate apply.

Assistance dogs with identification (e.g. marked vest, harness, collar) are exempt from this rule and may travel free of charge if accompanied by passengers with:

  • a disability ID card (with or without the codes B / BL), or

  • a determination notice, or

  • an ID labeled "Human-Assistance Dog Partnership".

Assistance dogs without identification may also travel free of charge if accompanied by passengers with a disability ID card bearing the codes B / BL.

The muzzle requirement does not apply to assistance dogs.

Transport of bicycles

Bicycles can only be taken on buses if there is sufficient space available. Therefore, the transport cannot be guaranteed.

You will need a ticket to take your bicycle along.

Carrying E-Scooters

A nationwide binding decree by the federal states has regulated the conditions for taking electric scooters (e-scooters) on public buses. According to this decree, e-scooters must meet certain minimum requirements for safe transportation on public buses.

An electric wheelchair can be recognized by its joystick, while an electric scooter has handlebars and is marked with a blue sticker (see picture).

Ein E-Rollstuhl ist an dem Joystick zu erkennen, während ein E-Scooter einen Lenker hat und mit einem blauen Aufkleber markiert ist.
