We are making bus travel in Lübeck even more attractive. You can currently use our free WLAN in over 50 buses in the SWL Mobil and LVG bus fleet - and the number is increasing all the time. Just look out for the WLAN sign in the buses.
Wi-Fi on the bus - this is how it works
Using the the Wi-Fi is possible via direct login without prior registration or sign-up. You only need to accept the terms of use and can then log directly into to the bus's Wi-Fi. Each user has 100 MB of data volume per day at a speed of 500 KB/s.
How does it work? Thanks to modern technology, we can set up so-called "hotspots". These allow you to access the internet wirelessly via mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, or laptops. Compared to conventional mobile services like UMTS or GPRS, hotspots provide a faster and more reliable connection, even when the bus is moving. In buses with a Wi-Fi symbol, you can read current news, check your emails, or stay in touch with friends and family via social networks at any time.
