The new verification process
From Oktober, your mobile ticket or chip card will no longer be checked by showing it to the driver. Instead, please hold your valid ticket to the marked area at the front when boarding.
And this is how it works.

Hold your mobile ticket or chip card to the marked area at the front near the driver when boarding.
If the validity check is successful, a green checkmark will appear and you are checked in. Have a good trip!
Travel sustainably: You can reuse the chip card after pausing it. If your subscription has expired, you can have the card reactivated at one of our service centers.
Answers to your most frequently asked questions.
If you take out a new subscription, simply continue using your existing chip card. It can be reloaded again and again. So make sure to take good care of it.
The chip card is valid for you personally and is also recognized throughout Germany. You can start using it on the first day of any month.
