Disability ID: no recognition of copies.

Severely disabled persons who are entitled to free travel under the Severely Disabled Persons Act will be transported free of charge upon presentation of the authorization ID card (green/orange) and the corresponding supplement with a value mark.

More and more often, copies of the severely disabled ID as well as the associated supplement with a value mark are presented as authorization for travel. According to the general tariff regulations of the Schleswig-Holstein tariff (p. 9, Allgemeines, section 2.7.7), copies are not recognized as tickets . In the interest of equal treatment, we are obliged to apply this regulation equally to all passengers.

Please understand that copies of disability ID cards are not accepted.

For individuals who are mentally disabled and can use our buses without an accomopanying person, an exemption permit can be requested. The exemption permit, which can be granted until the validity of the supplement expires, is only issued by the staff at the ServiceCenters at the ZOB and the Bus+ Ferry ServiceCenter in Travemünde.
